Uma Pedra No Bolso

Miguel (Bruno Leite) is twelve years old and his studies are not going well at all. As punishment, his mother sends him to a seaside inn belonging to his aunt, where life is theoretically so monotonous that studying will be his only possible occupation. However, the people he meets there awaken his curiosity and interest: the beautiful and enigmatic Luísa (Inês de Medeiros); João (Manuel Lobão), a young local fisherman of questionable reputation, and the very serious Dr. Fernando (Luís Miguel Cintra), who is there recovering from a divorce – three characters who will mark his first "stone in his pocket." Miguel will make great progress in the following four days, even if the knowledge he acquires goes beyond the narrow scope of his studies. Above all, he understands how relative truth is when love and money are at stake. Screening co-organized with Os Caminhos do Cinema Português.
