Benicio del Toro plays Zsa-zsa Korda, a European tycoon involved in the arms and aviation industries, whose life is marked by unusual events - including surviving six plane crashes and fathering ten children. His daughter, Liesel (played by Mia Threapleton), is a nun unexpectedly drawn into the family business. Along comes Bjorn Lund (Michael Cera), Liesel's guardian, on a journey that takes them from European capitals to secret enclaves in the Middle East, where the line between loyalty and betrayal becomes dangerously thin. As the mysterious plot known as "The Phoenician Scheme" threatens to destabilise the global balance of power, the protagonists face a web of corruption that extends to the highest levels of diplomacy, business and family.
