In a Lisbon apartment, Marta is left to the maternal care of her newborn daughter while recovering from childbirth. During these early days, they are visited by family and friends who, upon being drawn into the home's intimate space, share stories about their weddings, the birth of their children, their first jobs, and their future expectations and plans. In various sequences, "Tempo Comum" (Common Time) witnesses the unfolding of the life cycle narrated through multiple voices, fragments that blend with the moment Marta is experiencing. Alongside these sequences, conjugal life and the establishing household routines will serve as a barometer of Marta's inner evolution.
