Maya Nilo (laura)

Nilo is a feminist writer who lives an organized life with her husband and thirteen-year-old daughter, Laura. When her irresponsible sister Maya, whose projects tend to constantly fail, "kidnaps" Nilo's Volvo and daughter and heads south, Nilo follows. The goal of the trip is Portugal, where the sisters' complicated mother, who has recently been diagnosed with cancer, lives, and Maya's son, for whom it's finally time to take responsibility.
