Macunaíma (Grande Otelo) is a lazy, mischievous hero with no character. Born in the jungle, he was Black and turned white. After reaching adulthood, he leaves the backlands in the company of his brothers and experiences adventures in the city. Macunaíma loves female guerrillas and prostitutes, faces millionaire villains, policemen, and characters of all types. A fun film of pure anarchy, adapted from the 1928 homonymous book by Mário de Andrade.
