La Sirène du Mississipi

On the island of Réunion, Louis has been corresponding with a young woman, Marion, following a personal ad. He invites her to board the ship Mississippi. They marry straight away, but after a while, Louis realises that it wasn’t Marion who had been writing the letters. Just as he is about to confront her, Marion disappears. Louis hires a private detective to try to find her.
