A Água

It is summer in a small village in southeastern Spain. A storm threatens to cause the river that runs through the town to overflow again. According to an old folk belief, with each new flood, women who have "water within them" are destined to disappear. A group of young people tries to endure the dull summer in the village. They talk, smoke, dance, and seduce each other. In this electric atmosphere that precedes the summer storm, Ana and José live a romance, waiting for the inevitable onset of the tempest.
