When Dr. Albert Vogler's Theatre arrives in town, a grand spectacle is expected. After reading about a series of supernatural disturbances at previous performances in other countries, the chief of police and a doctor demand the troupe give a small sample of their show before allowing public exhibition. The most scientific skeptics try to expose them as charlatans, but Vogler and his team prove more ingenious than anticipated.
