"A Alegria é a Prova dos Nove" (Joy is the Proof of Nine) is a love story, also a memorial, about a trip made in the 70s to Morocco by Jarda Ícone (Helena Ignez), an artist, sexologist, and octogenarian rocker as she defines herself, and Lírio Terron (Ney Matogrosso), a human rights advocate. It is an ode to the underground and counterculture movements, a hymn to freedom, and its title is also a tribute to Oswald de Andrade, one of the leading figures of Brazilian modernism.
