Shot on film and manually developed by the director over more than 20 years, Lucefece mixes personal, political and mythical visions of reality: exorcising old ghosts. The film combines the genres of documentary, film essay and autobiography. Stories from the director's childhood intertwine with conversations with his father - who fought in the Portuguese colonial war in Angola and was later imprisoned - setting the scene for a profound reflection on the world today. Like a snake, the film winds through time, an eternal return.
