Spring in Lisbon and Nicolau turns 24, but he doesn't celebrate. Living at his parents' house, he reflects on a dream of being a musician that never came true and stuck in the ideal image of an ex-girlfriend who left him a year ago and never saw him again, Nicolau feels unable to move forward and create a life of his own.
He works odd jobs that don't allow him to leave his parents' house, until the day he discovers that his mother is just as dissatisfied with her life as he is. Nicolau is shaken, but he doesn't fall. On the contrary, he moves forward. He gets a job in a stationery store, moves into a shared house, and there his life starts moving again. And with it his dreams and his heart. Up ahead, a girl and an island.
